Online public discussion:"How essential is health and care work during COVID 19? A discussion on Gender, Care and Labour"

ProGender organises an online public discussion on the conditions of work in the health and care sectors and the gender challenges that workers in these sectors face during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants include representatives of nurses’ unions, care workers and specialists from Iceland, Greece and Norway, who will discuss their experiences, struggles and demands during the pandemic.
 
Speakers include: From Iceland: • Kristín Dýrfjörð, Associate Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Akureyri • Sonja Ýr Þorbergsdóttir, Chair of the Federation of State and Municipal Employees (BSRB)
From Norway: • Kristine Sommerset Bjartnes, Social worker at IPPF organization, Norway • Silje Naustvik, Deputy Head of the Norwegian Nurses' Association
