Efrosini Malekaki

PhD Candidate

Efrosini Malekaki is a sociologist (Panteion University of Athens), social worker (University of West Attica) and early childhood education teacher (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He holds a postgraduate degree (MA) in Social Psychiatry - Child Psychiatry from the University of Ioannina - Medical School. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Social Policy, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. Her doctoral thesis focuses on “Immigrant Mothers’ Access and Use of Childcare Services: The case of self-employed and waged domestic workers in the Attica region”.

Her most recent article, “Domestic Work and Welfare Values of Migrant Women in Modern Greece: The Juncture of a Dual Process of Exclusion”, was published in the Journal of Modern Greek Studies (Vol. 35, No. 1, May 2017, pp. 67-88) (with Christoforos Skamnakis).
