THE DOCTORAL DEGREE AND THE DOCTORAL STUDIES

The Department of Social Policy encourages well-qualified students with a good background and a Master's degree in any of the social sciences and a strong interest in social and public policy to apply in order to undertake a doctoral degree in Social Policy. Supervision is provided by members of staff in social policy and joint supervision with staff in the fields of sociology, social and political theory, social and economic history, methodology, economic theory, law, geography and demography is arranged when appropriate.
