European Social Policy

The aim of the course is to study the social dimension of Europe through the analysis of the European Union’s role. It also aims to analyze the content of policies in specific areas, the decision-making mechanisms, as well as the role of the social partners in the European Union. The contribution of the Council of Europe is also examined since, its action at social protection is rather powerful and it operated positively in the European framework as well. Finally, the course consists of two modules: Module 1 “Basic actions of the European Union in the field of social policy” and Module 2 “Implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights”.
