School-to-work transition of University graduates: evidence from the European pilot survey Eurograduate

Dimitriadou Maria
Description

The present paper examines the transition of the greek higher education institutions graduates into the labor market, drawing on data from the Eurograduate Pilot Survey, a one-off pilot survey of recent graduates in eight European countries, as its empirical data source. More specifically, taking into account two different sets of graduates (cohorts), aims to reflect the employment status of the graduates one and five years after their graduation, as well as the transitional path they have taken to integrate into the labor market. The results seem to confirm what a number of studies have also shown: graduates face several difficulties in stabilizing into the labor market, experiencing transitional paths characterized by complexity and precariousness.
