On-site diagnosis of social needs in Cyprus by the Social Policy Laboratory

The Social Policy Laboratory of Panteion University in collaboration with the Network for Social Support of the Mountain Areas of Cyprus participated in the on-site diagnosis of social needs in the Troodos region. The diagnostic study aims at social policy planning and formulating targeted actions to upgrade the social infrastructure and services provided in mountain communities, improve the living conditions of the inhabitants and attract young people to the region.

The scientific responsible of the project is Theodosia Anthopoulou, Professor of social geography and principal researcher is Nikos Kourachanis, Assistant Professor of social policy. The research involves the Professor of social statistics Maria Symeonaki and masters students and graduates from the Department of Social Policy, namely Andreas Velonas, Marianna Dourida, Maria Kaldeli, Evi Lazaridou, Sofia Nikolopoulou and Fenia Tounta within the International Credit Mobility for Training of the EU- Erasmus + Program.
