POVERTY AND HOUSING PRECARIOUSNESS IN RURAL AREAS THROUGH THE LENS OF SOCIAL RESILIENCE (POVE.R.RE)

The project aims to investigate rural poverty and housing precariousness phenomena in Greek rural areas under the lens of social resilience in order to shed light on invisible aspects and mechanisms that reproduce deprivation and social inequalities in the countryside. The survey was approved within the framework of the 2nd Announcement of Research Projects Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (EL.ID.EK.) for the support of Faculty Members and Researchers.

The members of the research team are: Prof. T.Anthopoulou (scient.coord.), Ass. Prof. M. Partalidou (AUTh), Assistant Prof. N.Kourachanis (Panteion Univ.), Dr. S.Nikolaidou (senior researcher, HOU) Following an open call, the research team is expected to be completed by one more postdoctoral researcher and three postgraduate students for the on-site survey in 3 selected rural areas in Greece.
