Apostolos Kapsalis is a Labor Law Lawyer, holds a Degree from the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labor Law (DEA Droit Social) from the Robert Schuman Law School in Strasbourg, France. He completed with honors his Doctoral Thesis on the subject of Migrant Work in Greece at the Department of Social Policy of Panteion University under the supervision of Professor Giannis Kouzis. Under the supervision of the same professor, he prepares a postdoctoral dissertation in the said Department as a state scholarship holder (IKY) on the subject of Occasional employment, immigration and undeclared work in the agricultural sector.
He teaches European and national immigration policy at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Department of Social and Educational Policy of the University of Peloponnese and Labor Relations at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government. He works as an Employment Relations Researcher at the Labor Institute of GSEE. He is also a scientific associate of the Research Institut/Koinoniko Polykentro of ADEDY, while he has served as Executive Secretary of the Labor Inspection Body (Ministry of Labor, 2015).
Research interests: collective and individual labor relations, undeclared work, non-compliance at work and social security, trade unions, labor movement, immigration policy, integration policies, employment discrimination.
