Immigration and immigration policy

The course aims to develop a sociological and inter-cultural understanding of immigration flows, relations and of government regulatory frames. Topics include: the early and late modern history of immigration movements, theory of immigration, contemporary labour immigration (EC and Southern Europe), women immigration (forceful and non-forceful), current internal/external immigration control mechanisms.
