Description
The exchange between capital and labor, through the form of the employment relationship, is perceived as the result of two transformations: the conversion of money into capital and the conversion of the value of labor power into wage labor. While in classical political economy the wage relationship was portrayed as a relationship of equality and freedom, in the Marxist critique of political economy the wage relationship appears as a relationship of dependence and wage slavery. As an inverted form, which derives from the separate productive relations of exploitation of the capitalist mode of production.
