Gender and Employment

The aim of the course is to present the modern theoretical approaches of gender and the labour market. Namely, we examine the determinants of women’s participation in the labour market and employment, occupational and sector segregation of employment by sex, male-female differentials in the incidence of atypical employment, gender labour market discrimination, the gender pay gap and policies promoting gender equality in employment and the division of paid and unpaid labour.
