Employment and Labour Relations

The course aims to provide students with those analytical knowledge and skills that will enable them to define, distinguish and understand the main goals and issues of employment policies and the policies about the labour relations with their theoretical and practical aspects. The course covers the following topics: employment policy in Europe, postwar model of labour, the reasons of the changes in european labour market , the content of the flexible labour model and their social issues, the discussion about flexicurity, the development of the flexibility in Greece, the role of the economic crisis,  the memorandums and the pandemic covid 19.
